Inspired by shapes of bottles, this mallet benefits its user with a comfortable and sturdy grip. The dual heads allow both heavy and delicate performance. 

After turning the maple body on the lathe.The eye of the mallet is carefully accented and fortified by a walnut wedge through mortise and tenon. The grain orientation visually emphasizes the strength of the tool. Finally, the surface was scraped, sanded, then finished with salad bowl varnish.
